Product Description

The Hybrid 4' x 8' Lean-To Greenhouse from Palram - Canopia is perfect for smaller back yards, decks and patios. It combines two types of polycarbonate panels to create a balanced environment for your plants. The translucent polycarbonate roof panels have twice the heat retention of single layer panels and allow the light to reach your plants at all angles while the crystal-clear polycarbonate side panels provide over 90% light transmission and block harmful UV rays. Polycarbonate is a virtually unbreakable polymer that provides the light transmission of glass, but is lighter, stronger, and safer. Palram - Canopia engineers their panels and aluminum frames to be strong, highly resistant to harsh weather and sun, and durable. This attention to detail continues with an integrated gutter system for drainage as well as a roof vent and hinged door to provide airflow and allow adjustment of heat, humidity, and ventilation. The Hybrid Lean-To greenhouse comes as a complete kit and can be easily assembled with simple tools. Extend the enjoyment of your growing season and protect your plants from harsh weather and pests with the Lean-to greenhouse kit from Palram - Canopia!

Customer questions & answers

Question: Does water leak in from any part of this greenhouse?
Answer: It is not designed to be 100% watertight, though it is largely effective in keeping water out if properly assembled. It is suggested you use silicon sealant like Titebond to make the unit more watertight if needed.

Question: How tall is the tallest part of the pitch that goes under the eave?
Answer: 88.6" - this is the back side of the greenhouse that goes up against the wall.

Question: Does the roof hold up to snow?
Answer: I live in the DC area. It snows a few times in the winter. A couple inches here or there. Usually less than a foot. The roof held up just fine.

Question: How do you seal the vertical connection to the house if the siding is lapped? I see straight profiles mounted to the wall but that would leave saw too
Answer: You would need to attach this product to a flat, level surface in order to utilize it effectively. If your siding is lapped, you would need to implement a wooden plank or such to level out the sections where this unit attaches to your home.
